Palmetto Learning Academy of SC is a grassroots non-profit organization established and strongly rooted in South Carolina. We are on a mission to bridge the social gap and fill the needs of our community members by providing resources and building relationships that support self-sustainability through financial education and economic growth. Our organization believes that when we support our families by providing access to healthcare, nutritional foods, and financial literacy; we are then moving forward in the process of building stronger communities that are safer and economically thriving.

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Palmetto Learning Academy of SC emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2021, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. We feel it is important to understand the needs of the community being served. Our programs are geared toward the feedback that we receive from community participants.

Meet The Team

Jennifer Cunningham

Founder & Executive Director Jennifer Cunningham, originally from Mobile, Alabama, now resides in Columbia, South Carolina where she is Founder and Executive Director of Palmetto Learning Academy of SC. Jennifer graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

Yolanda Daniels

Director of Operations Yolanda graduated from Francis Marion University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She obtained her Master of Art in Teaching, Elementary Education from South Carolina State University in 2005. Ms. Daniels worked in public education for eighteen years in Richland County School District One as a middle school level Science Educator. As an educator she served in several capacities: Middle Years International Baccalaureate Coordinator, Science Department Chair, SC Teacher Mentor, Leadership Team Member, Positive Behavior Intervention Support Committee, Technology Committee, and STEM Coordinator.

Zenobia Seward

Treasurer Zenobia is currently serving as the Treasurer/CFO of Barrier-Breakers a not-for-profit located in Columbia, South Carolina. Zenobia has over 40 years of experience in the Financial Services and Not-for Profit Financial Administration arena. During her extensive career before retirement, she served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Allegheny West Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio for 13 years. While there, she managed an annual budget of over $12 million, and the organization employed over 75 individuals located throughout the states of Ohio, West Virginia, western Pennsylvania and western Virginia. She has also worked as a financial administrator on the higher education and parochial school education levels.She is also the founder and President of Creative Wealth Solutions, a personal financial services company. She is a licensed Life, Health and Accident professional by the state of South Carolina.She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Alabama A & M University, and the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Eaddy Roe-Willard

Secretary Eaddy Roe-Willard serves as the dedicated Secretary for Palmetto Learning Academy, a non-profit organization committed to meeting the needs of community members. With a background in administration and a passion for social causes, Eaddy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization. She is responsible for maintaining accurate records of meetings, handling correspondence, and assisting in grant applications. Eaddy's unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the community is exemplified through her volunteer work and dedication to Palmetto Learning Academy mission.
